So, what's this business with the "Inactivity timeout postponed..."
I'm not complaining too much tho, dunno if Relim would have seen a linkless flag at that point. I would not want this to happen in sunroom tho, I can imagine fleeing some wolf, linkdead for a while and not having my Linkdrop kick in.

Are you sure it was Relim? *giggle*

knows that if you training alot of skills and your linkdrop goes into effect, it gets postponed.

Who let you be a troll and post that crap??
Antar2001-03-23 19:19:02
The same person who let you be a troll. I think Notorious had a valid point there, Nerf, dunno if you saw it or not...

T'was me, don't see what I did wrong tho... I often double stab, you were nameless, not linkless... apologies if lag tho. but you were saved by the gorgeous Zanetha - consider it a good day!

Inactivity postponed is so ppl wouldn't lose link while in delay. This is only inportant for ppl who have very short timeouts, or very long delay actions (like train all). Wouldn't it suck if you used a 10 second timeout period, and tried to pick a tough lock, and lost link even if you were at your terminal and typing stuff? Although, I don't see any delay action here... so why postponed, I dunno.

Relim, you did nothing wrong here, I have always considered you a very good sport and welcome your attendance at future Cellar meetings. I post this log to show the postponed linkdrop. According to the help Linkdrop file, the game should have dropped my link instead. If it had, I think you prolly would not have noticed it in the heat of the moment, and I would not have minded (too much!) This feature is not described in any part of the help logs. I do understand what the intent of the postponement is, when you are picking a lock etc... but here, I had spammed north to get to the gracious Zanetha and had done nothing that would give me a delayed reaction.

So now, I am wondering how long this so-called 'postponement lasts? Does it always come into effect if you are in a fight? Can a tracking wolf make me flee into a sunroom after my linkdrop should have kicked in 1 min ago? I did post a bug rept on this but wanted to have the entire log somewhere for folks to see.
