A Bend in the Path
Bending to the west and north along the banks of a wide river, this path seems
to vanish from sight into the mountains to the north. Plains extend out of

A Secret Mountain Path
As this path winds its way from the mountains to the northeast down to the
wide plains to the west, the width of the trail thins a bit, perhaps to
prevent it from being seen from afar. The path carefully follows the river
that flows to the south; never far from a source of water, and a place to
hide one's tracks.

A Secret Trail
Following a quiet stream to the southeast, this trail is hardly discernable,
even while being travelled. Whoever first created this path was careful to
pass around any obstructions, rather than moving them or going over; at most
times, the trail goes to the north of any obstacles, so the path is shaded
even when the sun is directly overhead.
Exits: north, =east=, =south=, west.

* HP:Awful Mana:Burning>The Barren Plains
Far off to the east, a thin stream of water makes its way through a gap
between the mountains and collects into a wide and dark pool. The mountains
that the water divides spread like sweeping arms in an arc to the north and

This particular patch of land is a bit different from the lifeless plains

Judging by the road to the east, this area was once populated, and supported

A Bend in the Ancient Road
With no trees near the road to offer shade, the ground is brutally scorched
between dawn and dusk when the skies are clear; pools of water vanish quickly,
and all but the most stubborn grasses wither and die in the heat. It seems
apparent why the land is so abandoned; there is little here for grazing or
farming, so even a simple town would find life here difficult.

An old and weathered road makes a bend to the east and north, circumventing
a small outcropping of rock that protrudes from the ground here. Worn nearly
smooth by the elements, its surface is brittle and loose. By certain stains

Among the Mountains
An occasional blast of cold air rushes up the side of this mountain, as the
winds of the chasm to the north encounter the sloping ground. Aside from the
sounds of a loosened stone or dried leaf rolling along the ground, the low
rush of moving air is all that can be heard.
Exits: east, south, west.

Among the Mountains
Cold, lifeless, distant from settled lands, and at times hostile, these tall
mountain peaks are poorly suited for travel or for rest. Sharp stones lie
scattered around the soil. No trees grow to provide firewood, no water flows
or even sits stagnant to soothe wounds or refresh the tired wanderer.
Exits: east, south, west.

Among the Mountains
Great and rough mountains spread in all directions, blocking the view of any
distant features or obstacles, as well as the sun or moon if possible. This
place has always been somewhat remote and alone; its special feeling of
sanctuary is hardly disturbed by a visitor who is not only mortal, but also
otherwise insignificant.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

* HP:Bad>e
e
Among the Mountains
Surrounded completely by tall mountain peaks that dominate the land in all
directions, this place shows no little sign of supporting wildlife, and even
less of civilization. A flowing breeze which winds its way between the peaks
is all that disturbs the otherwise complete calm.
A large rabbit looks peacefully at you, ready to dart away.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

The Rising Peaks
These mountains grow steadily larger and more magnificent towards the north,
where they extend out of sight; to the south, they descend into wide and
rather featureless plains. Little sign of animal life can be seen here, and
even less evidence of civilization exists. To the east and west, the rising
mountains continue.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

* HP:Bad>cr
Among the Mountains
Far beyond the view or influence of any civilization, surrounded only by more
mountains, barren of life, devoid of vegetation, uninviting, and impersonal
are these ancient mountains. Older than life, more weathered than any gnarled
tree, and as lonely as any widower, these mountains continue to watch the
rising of the sun and the setting of the moon as they have for many mortal
lifetimes.
A black raven flies in the sky searching for flesh to prey upon.

A mountain goat is here, jumping from cliff to cliff.
A mountain goat is here, jumping from cliff to cliff.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

* HP:Bad>Among the Mountains
This mountain is encircled by countless others that roll across the land to
each horizon. Travel through this area can be dangerous, as loose rocks and
dirt tend to shift unexpectedly, sometimes causing an even greater slide of
the nearby slope.
A small flower grows here, with a purple bloom and wide leaves.
cardamon
get flower
Exits: north, east, south, west.

* HP:Bad>Among the Hills
Long scars run down the side of this hill, as flowing water, either from
heavy rains or melting snow, cut its way through the loosely packed soil as
it moved downhill. In many places along these marks large areas of the slope
have shifted, as the weight of the water soaking into the dirt became too much
for the slope to bear.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

* HP:Bad>A Secret Mountain Path
Hidden from view by the surrounding peaks, this trail can only be detected
from within or above. Although this place seems to be unknown by its careful
placement in the mountains, the path seems well worn, though the ground shows
no obvious sign of foot or hoof or wheel rut.
A giant earth beetle is standing here.
Exits: north, =east=, =south=, west.

* HP:Bad>Secret Path
This area of the mountains seems devoid of life. cold dead rock lies all
around. A narrow path leading north and east has been stomped into the
ground. High thornbushes to the sides of the trail keep the path hidden
from outside view. Faint sounds of activity trails in from the south.
Exits: north, =east=, south, =west=.
You begin to see some clouds.
Timer now at 60 secs.

* HP:Bad>Secret Path through the Mountains
This area of the mountains is barren and lifeless. Away to the north
the mountains give way some low hills which are crossed by a small river.
Running east and west, a partially secluded trail makes its way through
these steep and rocky mountains.
Exits: =east=, =west=.

* HP:Bad>Secret Path through the Mountains
The ground is hard and barren as the path leads north and west. Higher
ground rising steeply to the east and south serves as a detour for those
wishing to head into the mountains. Sounds of splashes seem to indicate
the presence of water nearby and the way to the west becomes more secluded
and hidden by rising ground.
Exits: north, =west=.

* HP:Bad>camp rent
Ok, you make your camp here.

A warm fire lights the place.

You ought to have marked this log 'careful if you read at work'. I'm still laughing despite
having a bad day - too bad we'll probably never find out who the man was. Nice playing
up to him. Oh btw I also had no idea anyone played BN in spam mode.

I know who it was! And it's RP, not illegal, I think. Puke had nothing to gain by killing you, but white side had everything to gain if he could convince you to repent and change your ways!

I am managing this site, and though I am pretty busy atm, the site will get a
facelift sometime. And no, the account system that will be here won't as
restrictive as the one on knaldgas (the first MUME log site with real accounts)
or er. Better bansiting is planned though :-).
