Alantir2004-11-13 12:25:45
Booooooring. If you're evil you're evil, is that so hard to understand?
Unknown2004-11-13 12:36:29
Evil or not evil, istari have to go to extreme evilness for you to go ahead and kill them. I can't think of any istari that was ever killed in the books.
Andróg 2004-11-13 12:39:45
Rashnak was the WRONG person to talk about this! He is probably the most biased person in this matter of them all! It would have made his day if he had had the chance to sameside you himself.

About the align thing, though. Unless they've changed something very lately I believe Rashnak was wrong. I believe you just need to get your alignment back up and you're ok again.

Oh well, just another bunch of people added into the 'watch out, can act like morons' list...
Mandor 2004-11-13 13:05:05
Marte was also evil while Istari, and worked her align up again and is now a Maia.
Unknown2004-11-13 13:52:35
And did Marte run around as fell beast all day?
Unknown2004-11-13 14:26:33
whatabou metaing outside bree wgate and walking away from em? They didnt look like they are gonna stop killin you, as meta you could easily walk away.
Rashnak 2004-11-13 15:32:04
Yes Androg, that's why I initially told Lolatmi to find another god to discuss this with. But since I kept receiving those "hrrms" and "wtfs" from her I thought someone to talk with is better than none, since Phier wasn't responsive.

And I won't even start to comment Lolatmi's accusations.
Unknown2004-11-14 03:24:24
So many things to comment, so little comment space!

You must be the first person ever I've seen trigger-hitting butterflies. Funny.

It is true about Rashnak. It might be where Yikes and co got the idea. :(

And yes if you get your align back up, you'll be OK.

It seems like Lolatmi got his levels back anyway... so whatever caused him to realdie must've been a bug.

And hope you changed your password!

I think everyone should make a pact to kill these assholes, same side them endlessly, unless they apologise and really really mean it.

Saensil has left the room a couple of times during my stab attempts on him, but I don't think he noticed. His sanc was down I feel I should have gotten it in.
Unknown2004-11-14 09:54:48
Well I don't know to much about the whole deal...seems kind of strage that an istar would xp by himself in tb...and it seems werid if the preist hit him why not flee, and then report the bug.....

But also it does seem kind of childish to kill him for no reason.

And as for the way Rashnak acted it also seemed kind of childish.

Advice for anyone who knows they might get same sided....Rent, log on another character or stop playing mume. We are role playing on how it would be like to be in Middle Earth, we are not rule playing like we are married and have bitchy wives. No offences ladies. ;)
Rashnak 2004-11-14 15:54:53
Care to give an example on the childish part? Just so I can avoid it in future.
Unknown2004-11-14 20:40:51
Yea maybe childish ain´t the right word.. i think Rashnak acted like a dickhead or something would be better.
Rashnak 2004-11-14 21:31:51
I admit that I said some things that were not accurate, but when I said them I believed that they were right. You can blame me for being wrong and that's all.

I did my best to talk to this mortal and help him to best of my abilities. Even if I had strongly disagreed with actions of Yikes's group, I would not have been allowed to interfere (gods have rules too).

What I did was more than anyone else did at the moment. I didn't see any of you Unknown's neither protecting Lolatmi with your mortals nor giving him better advice as your gods.
Unknown2004-11-14 21:34:52
I don´t play a puke.
Boofhead 2004-11-15 01:22:18
Rashnak is a DUDE!

:)
Sogard 2004-11-15 05:44:58
It's really just a pity lolatami wasn't a mage like alot of istari tend to be. It would've been amusing to see those idiots charge in after him somewhere and eat a bunch of quakes and rip.

going wimpy and getting a sword/shield and sitting with a bunch of bounders or something wouldn't have hurt either. Probably wouldnt have saved you, but coulda made some kinda stand. :P
Bandwidth2004-11-15 09:07:20
The L dude lost a whole lot of brownie points by not editing the log, while taking time to insert lots of smartass comments. Die.
Andróg 2004-11-15 11:38:44
And the B-dude here just wasted another bunch of it by pointing that out. :)
Tushie2004-11-16 18:32:50
I don't think you should be punished for killing evil players. Isn't that why players are put on saurons list, its kindof a greenlight to kill them if you want too. The strange part of this log is getting wanted for killing an evil char. Moral of the story, if you don't want other players attacking you, don't make yourself evil by attacking mobs you shouldn't. If you are evil by some mistake, tell the gods and rent till they get it figured out. But running around as an evil player and then acting surprised when you get attacked is strange you should know better. Am I the only one that can see nothing wrong with tracking down and killing an evil char?
Unknown2004-11-16 18:52:48
Tushie, players are put on Sauron's list because they've made a career of ruining other people's playing by same-siding. That's way different than, for example, accidentally quaking a good mob or player.

The "good" guys in this log behaved like Sauron-listers usually do. They whacked somebody (an istar!) on the same side of the war without any mercy, consideration, regret, or any reasons for doing this, really.

If they let them just run along, we'd have Rashnak-wannabies running around with detect-evil again and whacking everyone who shows a red aura.

I won't even mention that this is completely anti-RP. Would elves, or say hobbits, resort to murder against even obviously fallen kin, if they were not acting in self-defense?
Sogard 2004-11-17 02:44:45
Killing someone simply because they're 'evil' is not right because not everyone in the world is a pure-hearted person who rids the world of evil and frolics in the flowery meadows.

A thief, crooked merchant, con man, or bully, would be evil, but that alone does not give you the right to whack him and be free of punishment. If you walk into a city and gun someone down because they're 'evil', the cops don't let you go simpyl because you're being a 'good guy'.

Besides, it's bad enough the babysitter mobs such as rangers and huntsmen chasde down evil aligned pukes, we don't need moron 'rpers' doing it as well.
