How a BN lives at level 1.
The Hidden Island
After the fall of Númenor only some of the shores that were once colonized
remained property of the 'pure blooded' as the fierce Black Númenóreans called
themselves.
You are standing in one of those places and the landscape reminds you of
Eru's wrath and the days of the Fall. Where once stood the glorious purple
temples for the Black Lord's worship, dark ruins fester like wounds upon the
land. But, who knows, some power might still hide through the shadows of the
past...
A large bonfire is burning here.
A large bulletin board, entitled "Númenórean Chronicles", is mounted here.

The Crypt
You find yourself in the ancient crypt of a Númenórean prince. Glyphs are
etched into the walls, still clear after so many years. The carvings depict
the struggle of the proud Númenóreans against the deathless Elves and Valar.
The defeat of Ar-Pharazôn's fleet and the diminution of Sauron's power is
also portrayed, with the aims of the surviving people set on complete revenge
over all of Arda. On the floor itself there are broken pieces of weapons and
armour strewn about. Perhaps with some luck, a clever adventurer might find
something still of use. Above, dark waters leak through into the crypt.
A large sack is on the ground.

The Barren Plains
This place is completely surrounded by vast distances of plains, with
mountains to the north and east, and at some great distance to the south.
Little can be seen to the west, as the plains roll out of sight, except for an
occasional glimmer of green and brown against the stark skyline.

The Barren Plains
Far off to the east, a thin stream of water makes its way through a gap
between the mountains and collects into a wide and dark pool. The mountains
that the water divides spread like sweeping arms in an arc to the north and
south, some distance away. These plains extend out of sight to the west.

Passing from east to west along the stream to the south, this faint trail is
sometimes hidden from view beneath the heavy silt that blankets the area; at
times it seems to simply vanish. Plains extend out of sight to the north.
Exits: north, =east=, south, =west=.
*+>s
The Dark Stream
The water of this stream runs cool and slow, but it is somewhat deep. Flowing
with the curvature of the land to the southwest, the water is cloudy with silt
and mud which is blown into the water from the surrounding plains. Aside
from the sound of water lapping against stones, and the wind drifting across
the area, this place can be rather quiet.
A brook trout is here, swimming in the current.
Exits: north, east, south, west.
*%>s
A Small, Grassy Plain
Shaded at most times of the day by the taller mountains to the south and east,
this small beach boasts several healthy clumps of grass. With a stream
passing to the west to supply water, and some abundance of grass growing in
patches here, it is possible that some wildlife exists in this area.
A fallow deer is grazing peacefully here.

Above the Cliff
Rising above a narrow beach to the west as a steep cliff face, down which an
occasional rock is prone to fall, this mount looks down on a stream that
flows by silently below to the north and west. Other mountains reach off to
the south and east, while the distant north is flat and plain.

Exits: north, east, south, west.

Rocky Landscape
The land on this plateau is littered with reddish boulders, with very little
vegetation having gained a foothold. The area seems quite dry - whatever
rain falls here must quickly drain away from the rocky hillsides.
Exits: north, east, south, west.
It suddenly starts to rain.
*('>s
Sparse Forest
A few hardy pines have managed to take root in the rocky soil. The ground
is still littered with large hunks of reddish rock that appears to have
washed down from the rugged landscape to the northeast. A small rivulet of
water winds out of the hills to the east, and flows almost unnoticed through
the rocks until it drains away to the west. To the northwest, the thin
forest continues.
Exits: north, east, south, west.
*('>s
Hills above the Hollin Road
The hills end almost abruptly, coming to a halt at a steep slope overlooking
a valley to the south. There is a road - apparently an ancient one - running
alongside a streambed upward toward the head of the valley among the hills
to the east. To the northwest, a few gnarled pine trees have managed to
take root, and they form the outskirts of a sparse forest.
Exits: north, east, south, west.
*('>s
Sharp Bend in the Hollin Road
The road bends sharply from west to south here, passing between the streambed
of the Sirannon and the steep valley wall. The Sirannon has been reduced to
a trickle - in many places barely enough to dampen the rocks. The valley
continues a good distance to the southeast, and at its head the ancient
Gates of Moria should be found.
Exits: north, =south=, =west=.
*+'>s
Hollin Road
The road follows the course where the Sirannon once flowed. The land rises
steeply to the east, and the road climbs through a series of loops to
the level of the top of the Stair Falls, which once merrily cascaded down
a rock cliff to the southeast. The Sirannon is almost non-existent, so it
is safe to walk out to the foot of the falls.
Exits: =north=, =east=, south, west.
*+'>e
Moving up the slope is really hard.
Hollin Road
The Hollin Road to the west descends in a series of loops to the level of the
lower valley floor. To the south, it approaches the area around the top of
the Stair Falls, and the presumably continues onward towards Durin's Gate.
The road here is littered with debris that has washed down from the steep
ridge to the north over the long years, but it is still in fairly good
shape after long centuries of neglect.
Exits: =south=, =west=, up.
*+'>s
Moving up the slope is really hard.
End of the Hollin Road
The ancient stones of the Hollin Road march into the depths of the dark lake
to the south - the water has risen to cover it completely. A narrow strip of
dry land hugs the northern shore of the lake, nestled between the dark water
and the steep cliffs of the northern edge of the valley. It appears that
the dry land continues for quite awhile - perhaps even to the grey cliffs
of the Walls of Moria.

A ferocious warg says 'I will hunt you until you're dead, Azgarphîr!' in Morbeth.
You flee head over heels.
You flee east.
Stagnant Creek
The narrow strip of dry land along the northern rim of the lake is cut here
by a green and stagnant creek. The creek extends a short way into the
northern wall of the valley, but it's source must be underground, for there
is no water flowing from the high ridges above. The creek is shallow where
it enters the lake - no more than ankle-deep at its edges, so it presents
no serious obstacle.
Exits: south, west.

A Narrow Stretch of Dry Land
If the water level in the lake to the south and west were just a few inches
higher, this narrow strip of dry land would not exist at all. As it is, the
ground is often soggy, and in many places debris from the deteriorating
cliffs of the northern edge of the valley almost blocks it. The Walls of
Moria are quite close - their smooth, featureless cliffs clearly visible
throughout the day.
Exits: north, east, south, west.

This narrow stretch of dry land is hemmed between tall grey cliffs to the
east and an ominously dark lake to the west. The ground is littered with
fallen rocks and boulders, making it difficult to traverse. In the shallows

grove of holly trees.

the dry land continues for quite awhile - perhaps even to the grey cliffs

Everyone can get _one_ kit. Except zorcs.

Jackass, stop revealing all at island if you're just going to spam die. No wonder there's never any lanterns.

For me it used to be the pukes. Always the pukes. Now I restarted one of my old BN characters today, and after playing for 2 hours or so I have yet to even SEE a puke... wth? I died to wargpack once though at level 5.... D:
