Are charmers any good in MUME? I notice that many BNs use them to their advantage, I plan on turning this char into a charmer/blinder/mage combo...any tips?

Know how charmies work. An aggressive mob will attack 1.st in the room
Being charmed does not change anything in that matter, save for the fact that it is now impossible for the charmie to attack "you".
A charmie can not leave you. So if you ask it to flee, move away from the room right after, so it can leave the room as well. Very helpful if the engaged sameside player is afk or something.
Getting killed by a charmie IS mobrip, at least sameside.

Getting killed by a charmie is not mobrip cross-race if you've seen the charmer recently.
Note something: you cannot order a charmie to attack *Elf*, since the charmie sees players by names only. You have to order him to attack by name or to assist you.

So you cant "order followers hit *man*" ?

Don't think you can. You'd have to use other ways to attack unnamed people - flush and assist might work, for example, also aggr charmies may attack on their own (if you are not the first person in room, I think).

Tinsal, the answer to that is no.
If you want to do like that, you must know the name of the enemy, and "order followers hit tinsal".
Or "k *man*;order followers assist", which will make you the buffer.
Yes, agg charmies do attack others, but are quite slow, won't instahit or anything. Plus, they will attack your friends.
