Why the hell would I need to hide who I am from the MUME community? I don't really care what peopleon MUME think of me, so why would I hide my name when I post? I registered here for the exact opposite reason. :P

For the record, I don't care if Snakr still cheats, I only care that Staer's a big enough pussy to not have told him to never come back. Snakr being allowed to play MUME still is the perfect example of MUME having a weak judical system.

Most of the logs posted here lately have kinda sucked though. Some of the older logs here are just above and beyond what any of the newe stuff is. :)

Well since there are basically two logposters since reopening, Beremon and Snakr, it's quite obvious where this discussion should lead.

Yeah pretty obvious - as we can see in ER already scandinavians feel sympathy for each other as do estonians or czechs. NationX who says "crap log" about american's log will say high praises to log of equal quality posted by his nationX buddy. Ofcourse it also goes down to labs - members of one lab naturally praise fellas.

It's all about subjective approach and concerning anyone who has cheated or done some other shit which pisses people off, like linklesskilling, is marked forever no matter what he pulls of - warlording or superb performance in fight.

Indeed Sogard, tell us how you'd entirely blocked Djinn's MUME-access?

Now now, if you don't know how to ban someone without going by IP address, I'm not going to tell you should you ever be in a situation that it would help you out of. I'll just tell you that IP addys aren't the only want to ban a person.

Also, even the most patheticly addicted gamer would leave after awhile when they're losing their account(s) everytime that person is found out, and again, it's much easier(in a matter of speaking) to find out who a person is without using an IP address.

Sogard, if you know other ways of banning people than password-scrambling their accounts and banning their IPs, you should probably tell MUME management about it, since I am pretty sure they do not. Both of these can be got around by just getting a new account and a new IP and by not making the same mistakes you made with your old account.

Incidentally, since for posting on a website you do not actually need a real-time connection, not only a new ISP but also most anonymizing services would work for you just fine, so (at least in theory) it is much harder to ban anyone from mume.net than from MUME.

Btw I am not Estonian, but as to Snakr, I would definitely rather deal with him than with a number of Swedes, since my guess is that if he cheats he will not be covered up by any Vala.
