Everyone knows these spells, they are the ones that are ignored, doomed to obscurity in the PK world and the RP world. Chill touch, hold, poison, black breath, silence, and a few others. What spells would you like to see given new life? How would you change them?

Well, I think chill touch is usable, I have it on few lowbie BNs. Hold shouldn't be what it once was, or store should be removed. Such 'forgotten' spells could be given a new life by reducing their prac-cost so they could atleast be used for entertainmet..

Silence is good...but we would need it on discussions whiners more :/

Black breath is an excellent spell. I am amazed people don't use it more. It's almost as good as bob used to be and it also messes up your target.

Poison is just too easy to save against. Make it slightly harder to save from but giving a lower level of poison, and it would probably be balanced.

Trouble is, you don't exactly get many pracs as shaman. I always find it really hard to get anything cool and not absolutely necessary.

More people need to use ventriloquate. It's really fun at parties and you can fool orcs into going away by making them think a warg told them to leave and other good stuff. Thank you.

Chill touch still can give a -ob effect can't it? That'd be useful to a degree.

When you could wimpy-flee out of bashes instantly, Hold was completely useless. Now, iirc, it's more of a casted bash. If it could be used with bash, it would be incredibly powerful..
*bash target*
*shaman holds it*
*recovers from bash, still held, gets bashed*
*recovers from hold, still bashed, gets reheld*

I've never used black breath, but the few people I've grouped with who do use it, love it.

What would be nice, but possibly overpowered, would be if the poison spell could be used to create any poison that the caster knows the herblore to, and could cast it on a target or a container. They would create a small, 1-3 uses per casting, but it could be quite interesting, but again overpowered (imagine having a troll carry around a barrel of arachnia, and a scout to use it to venom the group's weapons).
