The will always be successful; they can never be good. I guess it's probably me then, because I have a really slow link and I went east of nen bridge a bunch of times and hardly ever got killed by anything.

Rancr is the best player! just look at some of his logs. he is a wimp. and he almost always manage to turn the fight around so that he wins:D

I think you over estimate Rancr, alot of people he killed in logs were much slower linked, and only a moron would say that link doesn't matter in those situations. Now, if he did the same things to Bjorn, Khazdul, Aza, or some other very good player with an equal link that'd be different.
I personally don't see how a person is skilled because they can flee and re-enter and by the time your screen shows that info, you've been hit and they're trying to flee again already. ;)

At one point, Rogon was probably one of the best, probably still is if he plays mortals much. Nazgum 's an extremely good player, same with Ajax, Azazello, Moonglum, Ostu. Temegl was a damn good troll leader when i gruped with him some awhile back. However times change, people come and go, and 'best' is static really. also, you can'tget a definite idea of 'the best' because some of the good european players might play like utter shit on a 200-300 or so link(what many americans have), or the 350+ link alot of aussies have, and the reverse is true, some slower linked players might be extremely deadly if they had a sub 50-ms link.


Oh and, the little shady unknown up there, afterall, it takes skill to recognize skill. ;)

Going alone only takes little skill; your plan is always crystal clear and you only have to look after yourself. Playing always with the same people only takes little skill; you know what to expect from your groupmates and even practice some trapping scheme very securely. Spamdying is not skill, not even if you manage to kill a much larger number of enemies. Writing on a forum that you can't adapt to new game features shows inability to change, and that is lack of skill as well.

Gathering a group of today's players, leading them into battle in today's world, helping them fight and survive better than they usually could - that is what I call skill.

Sogard: you mean they are best players because they took no risks, walk in packs, and run ppl over?
I got balls + brains, im not best skilled sometimes i panic thats weak, my link matters alot yes, but i have killed faster linked ppl in fair fights etc.
Im not the best skilled but i got enough skills to have fun fights -_-

Skills means less in this game, then numbers and eq...and wimps always wins ;)

EQ doesn't mean much after a certain point, and all the shining in the world won't save you from 2-3 glowing quakers.

Rancr, you know very little about some of the people I mentioned. Besides, given your history,m I'd ay that still puts them at an advantage over how you learned the game.
