Yo guys!
I have been thinkin for a while about starting a mume mailing list, and I have put that thought in to action:) I checked on yahoo groups for mume groups, and the few that they have are either waaaaay outdated... several years infact, or in languages other than english. The mumer yahoo groups mailinglist is now up and running! I am moderating all messages from new members, so we don't get a lot of punks in there just posting whatever!
To join, send an email to mumers-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
All mumers are invited to join!
Hope to see you there!:)

Im quite sceptical about this ... imagine: 20397209374 mumers spamming mails, junk, etc. We have this forum on mume.net and one on ER. No need for this mailing list I think.

However, I am on some mume mailing list, but it's a list of our country mumers.

Only 7 ppl on it but it can get quite spammy :P

The list is only for mume related talk, yahoogroups can be set to send you a message per day with all the messages sent to the list that day so your not over spammed, the boards we have are nice but if someone has a question etc... I think they would get a higher response rate if their question was sent to a bunch of people's email, maybe it is kind of a lame idea... but I thought I'd see if anyone is interested:)

I understand why you wanted to do something like this - I would have loved it some years ago. Nice effort, and I wish you all possible luck.

However, over years, MUME has become home to many people I would much rather not have any contact with, from teenage AOLers to online sex seekers to criminals, real and wannabe. Even untargetted conversation on public channels can be annoying as hell - I often have to start my game session by ignoring half a dozen people.

I might subscribe to your list from an anonymous throw-away free e-mail address, but I don't see why I would want to solicit any contact or attempt any discussion with someone who thinks "you" is spelled "u", or someone who, when he does not like his opponent, casually mentions he'd like to rape and kill him RL.

All that said, I wish you luck (you may need it). May you never regret you started that mailing list.
