Ok im looking to make a dwarf warrior! and I want a heavy dammage weapon and a good parry weapon! So 2 handed and stabbbing! cleaving and spear? POunding and spear? 2 handed and axe? ounded and axe? cleaving and stabbing? tell me your thaughts

Dude... kay. The best combo I have found is either smiting or pounding, with cleaving for parry. This way, you can still have max offensive stats for hard hitting conc/two-handed, and the stats still work for cleaving! Stabbing, slashing etc, they require per, which the average offensive warrior doesn't have a lot of. Conc and two-handed both require str/con/wil, cleaving requires str/wil/dex. If str and wil are both highish, these two will work nicely together!

Well know doubt son... but in order to get your slashing percentage over 100 orso, your heavy hitting weapon skill will suffer! With dwarf warriors, I generally put in max str, max con, 17 wil, 15 dex, and 13 per... 15 dex and 13 per aren't enough to maximise your slashing skill... but lots of wil make cleaving a better choice!

Not to mention the 5 ob cleaving gives to dwarves, max chanted battle axe doesn't have bad parry at any rate... I think my lvl 27 dwarf with fullish set... minus jeweled, focuses etc, gets about 110 parry with a chanted battleaxe and an lmw... which rocks for a mainly offensive warrior!

110 def is not good, sorry :P I have 120 at ford with my level 20 orc warrior, something like 20 str 19 con 15 dex 12 per, and he is supposed to be a hitter :)

By the way, it is still possible to max slashing with 15 dex and 13 per.. And how do you get max str/max con, 17 wil and 15 dex/13 per? You mean with age right? There's just not enough points for that..

In my opinion, good stats are: Str:19 Int:10 Wis: 7 Dex:15 Con:18 Wil:15 Per:12.
Get pound or cleave or smiting to hit, get some slashing, some pracs in dodge, max parry will be 98% so max it, since dodge might drop it by 1-3% and you want the 95%. Should be 380 by legend and maybe 400 when you reach your higher levels. Also some decent track (85-90) if you max it, and with 15 wil (+1 in third age, +2 in second/first) you'll get a good chance to land bashes.

First of all, I didn't say that I get 110 def, just 110 parry... def is around 140 over all.
Second of all... max str/con, 17 wil, 15 dex, and 13 per... are with basic age nod.
Basics are max str/con, 15 wil, 14 dex, 12 per.

This is in Rd, though out is around 100 to 105... Dunca is lvl 27 btw.

mda is 15 ob, conc-weapons are 20.

Con tend to be higher than dex, especially for dwarves, thus lower skill in cleave than in conc.

If you want parry, isnt plain mace same parry as battle-axe?

If you want combination orem, go with spear + conc for nifty weapon-switching tactic in hit-flee duel. OR prac some slash and carry a broadsword around. imho.

hehe, well, thats all combos are good for, bragging about their theoretical bonuses in forums. Anyways, plenty of threads on combos, this thread is about def-warriors. Btw, any def warrior with 18 str and equivalent eq and level will eat your combo.

OB in aggr with metals and ornate: 159% in neutral zones
Defence: like 35% DB and 115% PB with gleaming broadsword

(Not the best defence, I know... but decent Ob at least)

Conc/slash is actually quite good

Just 4 pracs in slashing, tower+ebs give me 109% PB on ford @ level 26, second age (totalling over 140 def in metals w/o fine and DB rings), and I'm pure offencive warrior. Conc+slash seems to be the norm anyways.

yea, well, many bns gonna use metal armour, and even if they dont, hehe, well, conc works pretty good vs them as well, especially with the extra ob you get compared to cleave.

Trolls, well, most dont have metal, but trolls are easy to fight on your own terms, orcs are not. I just find orcs more difficult and wield weapons that work better vs them.

Dwarf warrior with track. Get possibly cleave for leveling him, conc+slash or conc+spear for pk. No good weapon first age.

Dwarf warrior without track. Same weapons as above but here you can wield mda at first age for leveling. Mebbe wanna tweak per up at the expense of dex or wil to get some defence or so.

Once you legend your warrior 18 str and mda or 18 str and engraved or ornate is not going to be a problem since you will retire him during first age anyway, after foy or mobrip. Its just plain silly to play warrior seriously during first age.

hm, coming to think of it, mebbe groteks warrior is better than my sugestion, after all, he gets max con and str AND he gets track. A tad lower magic resistance but who gives a damn, facing warriors is the biggest problems for any puke anyways.

well since im an ob warr, my stats arent quite for tracking, my base stats are Str-19,Int-9,Wis-7,Dex-17, Con-19, Wil-14, Per-8, with some age and if you train a bit, the wil and per can go up :P

And I wouldn't create a off warr with only 12 will...

Grotek is not the best off warr, neither a rocking def warr, but he provides a decent off and a decent def... I wouldn't have less then 14 wil (base) on a warr.

Can get 14 wil (base) with following stats btw, which is still kinda low for an OB-warr if ya ask me:
