My ISP again forced me to switch IP, without telling me about it until later. So while the new IP propagates through the DNS-chain, mume.net migth be unavaliable for you.
Hopefully, it'll only take a few hours, but that's not always how things are. Anyway, mume.net is/will be/might be back already.

Mume.net will be down
Mume.net will be down on friday the 16th of December between 09.00 and 12.00 Central European winter Time (the time all logs and posts are showed in here). A neighbour had some electrical problems and will shut down part of this house to change the fusebox and parts of the wiring.
I know it'll be hard, but try to survive during this 3 hour crisis. Perhaps take time and download some logs to read when you just can't take it anymore, and write posts and wall rumours in a textfile to send when mume.net is up again.
Good luck.

Site optimisations
Spent some hours rewriting the database interaction code and database indexes, resulting in a much faster site.
Loading comments now take less than 48% of the time it took a few hours ago. This may not sound much, but consider reading threads with 4000 comments. Takes less than half the time it took before (not counting net lag).
Loading 4000 comments now take 0.0037 seconds. Making up the html around them take about 9.7 seconds. Before these latest optimisations this took over 20.5 seconds. (Before the optimisation session before that it took over 160 seconds.)
